Bio


Jeanne Steiner received her B.F.A. in Art from Colorado State University in 1973.  She currently serves as Weaving Instructor and Arts and Crafts Program Director at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  She has also held positions as Visiting Faculty for the Visual Art Department at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, Exhibition Chair for “Fiber Celebrated 1997,” Artist-in-Residents at Woodman-Roberts Elementary School, and Assistant Director at Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center’s Bemis Art School.  Ms. Steiner maintains a studio at home and weaves on a 16 harness AVL dobby loom.

Steiner has shown her work in California, Colorado, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Minnesota, Arizona, Oregon, Texas, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio.  Her work is part of many private collections around the United States.
